bps — basis points per trade (1 bps = 0.01 %), after trading costs unless marked gross.
Gap (σ) — one row on the equilibrium ladder, a range unit like ATR; not a statistical standard deviation.
95 % CI — the range the true average is likely to sit in. A result counts as profitable only if the whole range is above zero.
Default frame — tests use the gauges exactly as the data feed delivers them; other timeframes have not been tested yet.
